Sylvan Lake with Olga

I was blessed to have Olga, an exchange student from the Ukraine, in my Anatomy and Physiology class for the year. Before she left to head back home, we took her to Sylvan Lake, where she was able to have a few firsts: 1. canoeing (we made a few laps around the lake, and Bodhi also got to go out on the canoe for his first time, too), 2. making s'mores (she liked them so much that we had to stop and buy some marshmallows for her to take home, since they don't sell them in Ukraine, and 3. chasing after the canoe after it got blown off of the van in the big storm on the way home (okay, so this really didn't happen, but almost--the wind blew off all of the straps, except for one, when we were on the top of the hill above Rapid on Highway 16--it was very dicey)! Thank goodness we all lived to tell about it! Of course, Bodhi really liked listening to Olga's fun accent, as well as eating some yummy roasted marshmallows, which managed to get all over him :)
